Who we are

We support PWDs to access equal opportunity

Through life changing programs, PWDs take on critical issues such as addressing community health inequities, engaging civil discourse and advocating for equity and inclusion for all.

Advancing rights of PWDs, equality, access to justice, governance and democracy, civic education and engagement, civil society strengthening, community development, and transitional justice issues, WITH PARTNERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD

OUR OBJECTIVES

Voice and Participation

We strive to enhance effective participation of PWDs in key policy and decision-making processes (budget-making, legislative and rule-making) within the target counties and at national levels. We also promote civic awareness and competence among PWDs to enable them effectively participate in electoral processes. We advocate for greater representation of PWDs in elective and appointive positions in both public and private spheres of decision-making across covered counties

Equality and Inclusion

We promote awareness and elimination ofpolicies, practices and attitudes which lead to discrimination of PWDs by members of society. BLINK advocates for inclusive policies affecting PWDs, particularly on education and health sectors, with a view to eradicating discrimination and ensuring equitable access to better services.

Susatainable Livelihoods

BLINK promotes capacity building, access to capital and removal of barriers to livelihood opportunities for PWDs, particularly in business and agribusiness sectors.

Organizational Sustainability

We are strengthening our institutional framework, improving diversity in our governance and secretariat, build capacity of the staff and leadership, revamp the secretariat and improve on its brand and legal status.

Give a Helping Hand

We currently have opportunities in Machakos, Kitui and Makueni which constitute the region known as Lower Eastern-Kenya.
